My wife and I are big fans of Robert Herjavec and were excited to receive free tickets in the mail to see Robert in San Jose at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds on May 15th, 2019. Of course, we knew in advance that the main objective of this “free event” was to sell us on some kind of education/training courses, but we decided to go with an open mind and the intention to discover some key jewels of wisdom.
Below is my honest perspective on this free Will to Win Method event and some key notes I jotted down, to help others who may be interested in attending this free event and to give you an idea of what to expect. I’ll even talk about both of the 3-day courses that they were trying to sell (real estate investing and entrepreneurship) and why my wife and I both purchased them.
This particular Silicon Valley Will to Win Method was scheduled from 6pm to 10pm. Parking at the Santa Clara Country Fairgrounds was free, but highly inefficient. Once we finally parked, we entered the Gateway Hall we found it quick and easy to register. We received our name tags and dinner was even provided in the form of boxed sandwiches.
Robert Doesn’t Show Up Until the Very End
There were 3 speakers lined up: Bryan Segal, Alan Chapman, and Mike Vogel. If you’re only attending to see Robert Herjavec at this event, then save your time and just show up for the last 30 minutes; I noticed that several people grew impatient and left before Robert even made his appearance. The rest of the event is filled with cliché motivational fluff (which I don’t mind hearing because it can serve as good reminders for us to practice) and trying to sell a 3-day real estate and 3-day entrepreneur workshop.
Here are some key notes I took from the speakers:
Bryan Segal served as the MC/host to hype of the crowd. Towards the end of the event, he was the one interviewing Robert. A few things that Bryan shared that stuck with me:
- Money is like manure. If it sits still, it begins to stink. Spread it around, invest it wisely, and money can help grow your wealth.
- Instead of taking vacations, go on “paycations” where you own a business that generates income for you to travel while you can also write off your trip as a business expense
Alan Chapman took the stage and talked about real estate investing (i.e. wholesaling, flipping, and cashflow rentals). He introduced the idea of multiple streams of income and ended his talk with offering a $1,299 3-day real estate workshop. Here are some bulleted notes from Alan’s talk:
- Find a way to make the most amount of money in the least amount of time.
- Stick to your numbers and you can’t go wrong in real estate business.
- When looking at real estate comparables (comps), look for:
- At least 3 homes that have closed within last 90 days ideally in same neighborhood
- Similar interior square footage
- Same age
- Same general state of condition or repair
- When you have more money you have more choices, time, and personal freedom
- You don’t have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great
- If you want more money in your life when’s the best time to get started? Now or later?
Mike Vogel stepped on stage next to appeal to those who already owned their own business or wanted to start their own business. Among other things, Mike talked about sales and marketing, then offered a $999 entrepreneurship 3-day workshop. It was interesting to see Mike because he also spoke at one of Daymond John’s events (Daymond did not make an appearance).
Here are some bulleted notes from Mike’s presentation:
- Be a business owner, not business operator. How many times do you see owners of McDonald’s flipping burgers? You need to learn how to set up a business that runs in the background while you’re away goofing off.
- If you’re a business owner, then you’re primary business is to market your products/services. If you don’t have any customers, you don’t have any cashflow.
- Understand why people buy. Know what people buy, when they buy, and why they buy and you can sell them whatever they want.
Finally, Here’s What Robert Herjavec Had to Say
With less than 30 minutes left, Robert Herjavec arrived on stage to be interviewed by Bryan Segal. Robert definitely gave off that “nice guy” vibe and felt authentic. He talked about immigrating to America and his main focus was having a “Why” in your life. He talked about how he had many reasons to blame others, but realized that blaming the world and focusing on pain does not end well for anybody. Instead, Robert decided that if he didn’t go out and do something meaningful with his life, then his parent’s sacrifice to come to America would be wasted.
Here are bulleted notes from Robert Herjavec:
- Belief is great. Action is better.
- Focused effort is always better than general action.
- The daily habits that you do determine the discipline that gets you on that path to massive success.
- You’ve got to have a plan with a timeline.
- The biggest investment you’ll ever make is the investment you make in yourself. That will always yield the greatest return.
- If you don’t like your current book on your life you can write a new chapter tomorrow. Just get up and do it!
- Life doesn’t get easier but you can get stronger.
- Today’s failure doesn’t have to determine tomorrow’s success.
- People always overestimate what they can achieve in 1 year and underestimate how much they can achieve in 10 years.
- Wake up early and ask yourself: No matter what happens today, what two things do I need to achieve to get closer to my goal?
- Make a conscious effort to advance. You gotta keep going. The knowledge is out there but you need to get on a path to acquire knowledge from someone else.
- Robert’s 4 Pillars of Success
- Personal Goals
- Personal Wealth
- Wellness
- Greater Purpose
In Conclusion…
I found the Will to Win Method event in San Jose to be fun, enlightening, and inspiring. Yes, the intent is to sell you on education/training, but the “sales pressure” is very low. I’d recommend attending if you’re looking for a spark of inspiration, if you want to see Robert Herjavec live-in-person, or if you’re open to actually purchasing training to advance your skills. If you just want to see Mr. Herjavec, then just show up for the last 30 minutes to avoid the sales pitches.
Did I Purchase the Will to Win Method 3-Day Real Estate and Entrepreneurship Workshop?
Yes and yes. If you’ve read this far, then you may be interested in getting more honest details on the Will to Win Method 3-day workshop. I remember searching the internet for more info, but couldn’t find any, so I hope this helps you with your decision. I’ll be posting updated info on my experiences with the paid workshops!
How much do the 3-day Will to Win Method workshops cost? At the Will to Win Method in San Jose on May 15th, 2019, the Real Estate Workshop was offered at $1,299 and the Entrepreneur Workshop was offered at $999 ($799 if you purchased both workshops). Pricing for these workshops also allows you to bring a guest.
Why did I purchase the 3-day workshops? To be honest, the Real Estate Workshop didn’t really catch attention, but my wife expressed interest with the sole purpose of learning more about what’s possible with real estate investing. We decided to purchase the real estate workshop for her to learn, with me by her side to support. On-the-other-hand, The Entrepreneur Workshop caught my attention because I’ve been naturally passionate about marketing and online business. I decided to purchase the entrepreneur workshop to level-up my marketing strategies and knowledge.
Ultimately, we decided to buy both workshops because they each had a 6-Month Money Back Guarantee (message me if you want to see details on the guarantee). We carefully reviewed the terms of the guarantees and we were confident that we could meet the requirements to get our money back. Best-case-scenario is that we learn for free and receive our refunds for each workshop. Worst-case-scenario is that we pay for our education and learn if we have a real desire/interest/ability to pursue these real estate investment or entrepreneurial paths.

Keep documenting this! I just attended the three day workshop and I’m faced with the option to continue with their program. No honest testimonials of people who ACTUALLY did it. Just people who go the preview.

Thanks for stopping by Megan! Which program are you thinking of taking? I just completed the Entrepreneur Workshop and I’m tentatively scheduled to take the Real Estate workshop at the end of July. Message me if you want to discuss together; I’ll also be posting soon on my recent experience with the Entrepreneur workshop. Take care!

I am at the end of day two of the three day seminar and faced with the choice to purchase more training for $41,000. I’m not sure I know what to do.
Passion Plus Purpose says
Is $41,000 for their highest package available? At my event, they offered 3 different packages. I’m traveling right now, but I can dig into my notes and share the pricing I was offered if you’re interested. Regarding making a choice, you need to evaluate your specific situation, will this education/system help you achieve your goals, and most importantly, what is your WHY? Feel free to contact me directly and best of luck!

Great information! I was thinking about going to this event in Knoxville today. I think I will pass since I am really not interested in purchasing a Real Estate or Entrepreneur program right now. I am however passionate about becoming financially free, and have 15+ years of business and management experience to draw from. I am currently looking at a couple different businesses to start, but need capital. It doesn’t sound like attending this free event (or purchasing either 3 day event) will help me too much with that. But your notes are fantastic and I feel like I already received the best of the information presented just by reading your reviews, especially the notes from the Entrepreneur 3-day event, so thank you very much for your review!
